Clicks Google's move to secure search in October 2011 was a blow to website owners. They started losing data about the search terms used to reach their sites. Claims that Google is a hypocrite have also emerged. This is because if you had placed ads, you could have continued to receive keywords. And now Google is revisiting the problem and trying to find a better solution. Will Google once again pass on search keyword data for clicks on organic search results? Or will ad clicks no longer give data? Google isn't saying either way, and there are other possibilities. Google for solutions The news came from a keynote speech with Google search chief Amit Singhal at yesterday's SMX West conference. I turned to a short phrase that many people in the search industry and many site owners will immediately recognize when they hear it: "not provided." I wasn't expecting much of an answer.
In fact, I've written a lot about this, but I haven't heard much from Google regarding Canada Phone Number Data the unfairness and (perceived) hypocrisy. I wrote so much that it felt like a broken record. Surprisingly, Singhal said, We've been looking at this issue for a while now, both from the search side of Google and from the advertising side. We've also heard from users that they want search to be secure...that's really important to users, and we're happy with what's happening so far in terms of organic search. After the conversation, I saw some people tweeting that ad clicks would no longer be given keywords.

Google makes all organic click data available via Google Webmaster Tools Organic clicks bring back keywords Advertised clicks lose keywords The first choice is the easiest. Google may reconsider everything and ultimately decide it's happy with the status quo. I think the possibility is low, but it's not impossible. Click for secure server? Another solution is for Google to restore search keyword data to sites that operate secure sites. Before Google's changes, when someone clicked on a Google search result, the information about the keywords they searched for was passed directly to the site. Publishers were able to understand exactly where they were being displayed. After a change in Google's policy, keywords are no longer given for free, organic search results. The main reason for this appears to be that Google was concerned that if the keywords were published as is, someone could intercept the search strings and reveal the user's profile.
