The planet's temperature during November represented a new record for heat, US government scientists said on Tuesday, as it was the hottest month since records began to be kept in 1880.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration explained that the average global temperature, combining water and land surfaces, was 13.7 degrees Celsius (56.6 Fahrenheit). That's above the average in the 20th century.
It was the 37th consecutive November with above-average temperatures. The last one below average was in 1976.
It also turned out to be the 345th consecutive month with temperatures above average. That's almost 29 years.
Among the hottest places this November were much of Eurasia, Central America and the Indian Ocean. But parts of North America reported colder than average conditions. Its structure is supported by 5,000 reinforced Europe Cell Phone Number List concrete columns. The sustainability report, prepared by the committee days before the Olympic Games began, details that among the sustainable elements of the stadium is the 50% reduction of carbon generation during construction, through the use of materials certified as “ legal and sustainable.”
Likewise, the building is characterized by “zero production” of pollutants during construction, by reusing and recycling 99% of the materials resulting from the demolition of 33 buildings that were previously in the area.
Likewise, transportation solutions were established, with the construction of three bridges and access through public services, in order to facilitate the arrival to the stadium of the millions of spectators who attended sporting events.
Thus, based on the experience acquired during the construction of this stadium and the other sports venues for the London Olympics, the development of the international standard ISO 20121 on 'Sustainability for event management' has been promoted.
Likewise, following this green trend, the International Association Football Federation (FIFA) announced last December its environmental sustainability initiative called 'Green Goal', which is aimed at “reducing the consumption of drinking water, avoiding and /or reduce waste, create a more efficient energy system and increase the use of public transportation in the stadiums hosting FIFA tournaments,” the organization details in the document 'Football stadiums.
