Sponsored links: what impact after the developments at Google? Several changes took place at the end of February on the inventory of sponsored links on Google query pages. While these developments can improve the user experience, they risk increasing the cost per click and leading brands to adapt their marketing mix.
After several months of testing, Google AdWords has decided! In recent days, the agency has reorganized its advertising offering on Internet users' search pages. As compensation, four ads instead of three now appear at the top of the page, above the natural results from queries on mobile, tablet or computer.
Google took advantage of the evolution of uses and harmonized its offer on the different devices: the links in the right column were already no longer offered during mobile queries, which were booming. Product Listing Ads (PLA) are not affected by this deletion of the right column. Only Google Shopping results or Knowledge Panel information can continue to appear there. E-commerce advertisers, who devote a significant part of their investments to it, can therefore still promote their products and optimize their flows.
