This isn't the first time the NCAA chose a school hundreds of miles away to serve as the Frozen Four host.Alaska-Anchorage was the host school when the 1999 Frozen Four was held in Anaheim, Calif., and Alabama-Huntsville handled those duties when Tampa played host to the NCAA's final hockey weekend in 2012. The Badgers have played in the Frozen Four 12 times, but were unable to make it this year after going8-19-8. This year's Frozen Four includes Quinnipiac, Boston College, North Dakota and Denver.
